Pipe corrosion & pinhole leaks
Copper lines can slowly corrode from the inside or outside until a tiny pinhole opens. Under a slab, that small hole can leak for months before a high water bill gives it away.
High water pressure
Pressure that runs too high puts constant stress on pipes, joints and fittings. Over time, weak spots give way, and slab and wall leaks often start this way.
Shifting soil & foundation movement
Soil settles and moves over the years, and so do the concrete slab and the lines running through or beneath it. That movement can crack or pull apart pipes you never see.
Aging pipes & hard water
Many Orange County homes still have their original plumbing. Years of mineral buildup from hard water, plus normal wear, make older lines more likely to fail at joints and bends.
